Runs perfect. Has forward/reverse. Sounds work. Has a smoker but I didn't have the correct smoke fluid to test. This set is transformer controlled. No batteries. The only batteries it takes are for the tender for the sound feature. Tracks are nice. The engine, cars, and caboose are in very good condition. No tools required for set up. Instructions included. Comes in original box.
