Restored Lionel automated 2-train relay controlled 5x9 train set layout w/acc #55

Fully reconditioned, well tested and runs perfect. This set will run trains both ways; 2-train automated or single train regular. Directions and set up diagram are included. To switch to single train, unplug the 2 harness connectors that control the remote switches and plug in the 4 switch controllers, and throw the toggle switch for the stop track. Reverse the steps to go to automated running, including throwing the toggle switch back the other way. See the full length video of it on You-Tube. 

    Running 2-train automated; place one train on the stop track and start the other just ahead of the stop track. When it runs all the way around, it will cross the activator track and start the stopped train. Then stop when it hits the stop track. Then the other train sets it in motion as it crosses the activator track. There are two activator tracks that throw the 4 remote switches in the proper order to automatically route the trains without touching the controllers. Once you get it started, the trains run by themselves without touching anything. Completely hands off. Run trains at the slowest speed for the switches to auto-throw best. Running into them too fast will make them not operate well and cause derailments. This is a re-creation of the Lionel Dealer set #D-63.     

     Both engines have been serviced and oiled and are ready to run. Tracks are O gauge and have all been cleaned on top. 

     Set includes an Operating Water Tower, Operating Block Signal, Lionel 190 watt two-throttle KW transformer, Lighted Passenger Station, Marx tunnel, and 4 remote 022 switches. Cars are all in very good condition. Set up and wiring is very easy and quick. Board size is 5x9. Keep the 6 harness plugs on top of your board to reach them to plug/unplug. Tenders are non-whistle type but whistle tenders can be added. The KW transformer has a whistle lever.
